NavStruct Consult
Providing practical and technically robust structural engineering solutions for shipbuilding and offshore applications.
NavStruct Consult is an independent engineering consultancy led by Davor Bolf, PhD, specialising in structural design, finite element analysis, and technical documentation for marine structures.
The professional background combines academic knowledge with practical experience in ship design, structural engineering, and advanced numerical analysis. Work experience includes shipyards, design offices, and international engineering consultancies, covering a wide range of vessel types from yachts and small craft to offshore vessels and passenger ships.
The core expertise includes structural design of steel and composite structures, finite element analysis, and development of technical documentation in accordance with classification society requirements such as DNV, BV and RINA.
Engineering work is supported by modern analysis and design tools, including advanced FEM software (LS-DYNA, FEMAP/Nastran) and CAD-based structural modelling (Rhino, 3DExperience), enabling efficient and reliable technical solutions.
